Icon20 Rolex Comex

Today I saw one of my client wearing a Rolex comex. I could not notice if it was a SD or a Sub.

Can someone educate me on Rolex comex models ?
Is it available in SD or Sub or both ?
Does Rolex still manufacture Comex models ?
If I have to make an offer, how much should it be ?

Thanks,

Rolex no longer produces Comex issued watches anymore, the first Comex issued watch was the 5514 submariner, which is basically just a 5513 submariner with a HEV valve. The last Comex model was the 16610 submariner which was delivered in the 1990's. For more info visit doubleredseadweller.com

BTW: there were both submariners & seadwellers that were issued to Comex.

A small batch of Comex was delivered in 2004 consisting of 14 watches.... mostly subs and a few SD.

You've got some killer watches in the collection!!

PS:If there were only 14 delivered, the engraved number refers to???(total Comex issued?)

Thanks Rob. I do not wear this one often .... it is too minty!

ps... yes I think engraved number continued from earlier productions.

I don't blame you...Something of that prestige in the watch collection world would be a hard wear as much as I hate to admit it!!!!

Makes sense on the numbers....Only thing I can think of anyway!!!
Something to research I think...

Pav,
Thanks for sharing, lovely watch. It's a wonder what a little white decal and $15 worth of engraving can have on the value of a watch!
