Authentic Check on a Rolex Gmt II please help
Hi guys,
I'm a novice so I wanted to seek advice on this rolex gmt II. Is the watch authentic or not? I know the pictures are not great but its what the person gave me. He has the original box and papers, even a paper from a third party appraisal. However, a few things throw me off such as the scratch on the reference numbers and bracelet. I thought there was suppose to be writing on the bracelet, also are the scratches on the lug trying to hide something? Please help if you have any information. Thanks |

Ask the seller for a straight shot of the entire face we need to see the cyclops magnification.

THat is the weirdest looking SEL. Did the Y come with SEL? And why are there holes in the case when there is a SEL bracelet?
Something doesn't seem right with the case writing. I would stay clear of that one. Try PMing one of the great sellers here if your interested in a watch and don't risk your hard earned mula. And hello and welcome, by the way.

I noticed that too. It has SEL but it has groves like it was made for a watch without lug holes.

Lug holes were phased around the end of the Y-serial.
By the way love that "typed" Y on the serial number! Stan, nailed it! |

Thanks for all the help guys, does that mean this appraisal letter is fake also? Or maybe he just switched the watch after it was done.
I was sent more photos, |

A lot of appraisers are not experts in identifying counterfeits. They will take down the available serial/model numbers and appraise based on the replacement value of a new one.
If you purchased this watch at a jewelry store, you may want to take it in for a refund. Sorry, you have to find out this way. |

http://www.jewelscene.com/ There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this board who make it their business to spot fakes, they have spoken, they have said it's a fake. Back out of the deal before you're sorry.

Laser etched lettering on the case. 100% fake, along with the appraisal.
