The dating of the watch from the excellent book by Hess and Dowling on their history of Rolex. This Rolex OysterDate is in very fine and superb condition and a fabulous and highly practical watch for every-day use. This is a beautifully made mans Rolex Oyster Perpetual wrist watch, dating from ca. 1945.
