1st Rolex is calling, torn between two...

Ready to purchase my first rolex.

Torn between the Yachtmaster SS/PLAT and the Blue Sub TT.

Any considerations you all could give would be much appreciated!

It really is a personal prefrence after all. If it were a new Bluesy at least this would have the improved clasp. I think I would have to give the Bluesy the nod as long as the new blue color is Ok with you.

If you look at my poll, I kinda / sotra are making the same decision, so I am getting rid of my TT Blue and getting the Yachtmaster...

Tough choice - both would be excellent. I think I would probably err on the side of the Sub (assuming it's the ceramic model), simply due to the truly excellent bracelet on it

I think either one would be enjoyable. You will see a lot less Yachts. TT Subs are all over the place.

it's gotta come down to which one sings out to you - between those to the Sub gives me that special little feeling though lol

Give both a try at your AD and see which makes you smile!

My vote would be for the YM.

Thanks for the thoughts all!

The Blue definitely sings out to me, and has always been the one I have dreamed of owning.

After trying them both on though; I really liked the Yacht, and was thinking that it may be a bit more versatile, and would not show scuffs/scratches as easily.

Great Forum BTW!

U have to try them both on. Which ever makes your heart flutter, thats the one to buy. If you can not make up your mind, buy both if money is no option.
By the way, welcome to TRF!

I always loved the look of the YM. I bought one in may and could not get used to the monotone look and got rid of it. I should have given it more time to grow on me.

Nice choice. The Yachtmaster was going to be my suggestion. I purchased mine a few months ago and couldn't be happier. Although your second choice was another favorite of mine.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the club :)
