rolex serial number?

im new here so i dont really know if there is already a thread for this...

if there is pls post the link, if possible...


im a bit confused with rolex serial numbers

from what i read/been told...

OLD serials are outside the watch near

while NEW serials are in the walls of the face ,in the 6 o'clock position


im i on the right track?

then when did rolex start with the new serials?

Welcome to the forum! There has been a transition period where there were serial numbers on the rehaut ring as well as on the case under the bracelet at the 6 o'clock end. Only very recently have they stopped putting them on the case as well as the rehaut. I wouldn't be too worried though, as long as you can find it in one of the two places, you'll be fine
