GMT - model 16760

I haven't posted much here in the vintage forum lately, so I thought I'd post up some pics of my latest GMT acquisition from last year. I was in the safe the other day and opened up the box for this 16760 beauty, which I had almost forgotten about

It is an early 16760 "fat lady," circa 1985, serial number 84XXXXX. When I purchased the watch, it was complete with all the accessories, which are included in the last photo. (I forgot to include the green hang tag in the group shot.)

The dial has a noticeable light-yellow patina. The watch originally came with the Submariner 93150 band, which is documented on the warranty paper in the model code found above the punched serial number.

It's in very good condition for an old, 1980's GMT.

Greg
Greg, I'll wear it occasionally, but the daily watch is my matte-dialed 16750 GMT.

John that's a stunner. Not only is the dial fantastic, but it looks like you could cut yourself with those lugs.

Congrats on a killer "fat lady".

Thanks Mike. It is the only one in the collection. As you well know, it is very hard to find a nice 16760 GMT II with the accessories and warranty paper.

Now, it's off to the shower to see if I can trip the sideburns with those lugs!!!

Thanks Pav, Greek and all the others here that appreciate these vintage 16760 GMT's. They are really starting to dry up out there.

Wow Springer, that is a beauty. The dial/hour markers are really starting to turn a nice creamy coffee color. Sweet 16760 !!

Great package there John.
Interesting how the 93150 bracelet was original factory fitted......
I wonder if the 93150 was ever factory fitted to the 1675 or 16750 models

My 16750 came with a 93150 when I bought it new. I have bought others since and the ones that had warranty card holders its on a sticker like the 1 shown below. This is from a 16800 I had and sold to a fine forum member a while back.

Here is a close-up of the sleeve which contains the warranty paper.

If you look at the model number, above the serial number, if the model number ends in 9315 - it came with the Submariner band. Also, the sleeve contains a sticker that is coded with the band type.
