DJ TOG or Milgauss

I would love to hear your opinions, my indecision is stopping me from getting a good deal.

I missed out on a great priced TOG in the Bahamas when i wanted the Milgauss, I then missed out on a great deal on a Milgauss in Alaska, which i am actually quite embarrassed to tell anyone about. when i wanted a TOG.

I would like to hear your thoughts.

The TOG is a great looking watch, but the 36mm size is a deal breaker for me, unless it goes to 41mm at some time, but that is just me.Same with the DJ, i prefer the DJ2. So it would be a white dial Milgauss for me as its of the larger size and a nice looking watch,i even like the lightning second hand. Your stories sound interesting.

Totally different watches. It is really a personal preference thing. I am biased because I love and own the TOG so I would say go with the TOG but you really have to just decide and pull the trigger. You will end up being happy with whatever decision you make. And if you end up still wanting the other watch maybe you can get a second watch down the road.

I would go with the TOG if the smaller size doesn't bother you. I simply luv the the red accents on that watch.

The TOG and the DJ are simply too small, the DJII can only be had with a 'flootid' bezel, which I hate. I would go for the Milgauss, but only the black dial.

Two absolutely different timepieces. I own the TOG with blackface and stainless oyster bracelet,it just smiled back so perfectly at me when I tried it on. I went to the AD to purchase a SUB so I could be just like my friends, but a strange thing happened when I went to the AD all by myself. I just loved the red second hand and date. But that is just me. Go try on both and decide if you are able to. Dont bring anybody with you. Its your hard earned cash, get what you think is the "ONE". Good luck.

I own the TOG and owned the GV (flipped to acquire my 116718). I agree with the other legends here that both are totally two different timepieces, saying that; the no date function on the GV bothered me. Let's put it this way Cozzer if you are a collector I would go with the GV if you want to wear your timepiece go with the TOG, obviously this is just my opinion.

My vote is for the TOG - because it's a stunner you can wear every day no matter the occasion!

AND it has a date lol

FremStar, you hit the nail on the head. My only problem with the Milgauss is the lack of a date, i have been trying to convince myself it wont bother me as i will wear it most days. I wear a DJ now, so the size isnt going to matter to me.

milgauss all the way and it has to be the GV i just love the green saphire crystal and the PCLs finish it off. I've had more comments on the Milgauss than any of my other watches.

I'd go for a SS/WG TOG with a white dial and Oyster bracelet. It's the only new style DJ I actually like better than the watch it replaced. I'm not a fan of the Milgauss' orange hour markers, as they stand out in the wrong way (vs. the red-handed TOG).

To those who say 36mm is too small, a light dial TOG wears bigger because of the light face and rather substantial bezel.

To the OP: Why not consider the YM SS/Plt? It's essentially a professional version of the TOG but with a silver colored dial (well, platinum really), but it has the red hand, graduated timing bezel and PCL. Plus the platinum bezel is less prone to scratches and dents.

Well... If you already have a DJ (hopefully it is on a jubilee), then a Milgauss would make a great couple :-)

Very different watches, bro!

The Milgauss is considerably more substantial on the wrist, heavier and bigger. Its details are also more unconventional than the IMHO more conservative TOG.

FWIW, I'd get any of the three Milgauss over the TOG in a heartbeat.

Good luck!

Thanks dannyp, you have helped me with my second decision which i wasnt going bother anyone with, and thats what dial to have. So im leaning to a white dial SS TOG on a jubilee.

Thanks guys. Massive help.
