Hello all,

Sorry that I have not been frequenting TRF regularly in a while. I have been keeping busy with a new family member. No not a new watch, a new male labrador puppy named Aspen.

We have been busy with housebreaking, basic obedience and field work for upland and waterfowl hunting.

Here's a few pictures of Aspen and me over the past 10 months or so. I've even included an obligatory "wrist shot" of him wearing my TTDJ.

I hope to catch up with TRF members soon. Aspen and I just got back from his second hunt, a quail outing with other friends and dogs in Western Michigan. All our hard work has paid off. He's a good hunter and a wonderful family and companion dog. He's all that I could have asked for!

Enjoy! I know I have and will continue to enjoy life...

Beautiful dog, Brian. I lost my Lab last year after a good, long time together. IMHO, he was the greatest dog in the history of the world. Love that little (not little for very long) guy every day!!!

Here's an update on my lab. He's now over a year old and we just had a great upland hunting season in Michigan. He's turned into a solid performer on finding, flushing and retrieving pheasants and also did quite admirably on a quail hunt too. Maybe we will get in another hunt or two before April 2011. Next year I have to get him water fowling. We've trained for it, but just haven't had the opportunity to get out to the duck blind this year. I enjoy him as much as I do my trusty TTDJ.
