New Vintage Tudor

Well you guys talked me out of getting a Tag after I traded in my vintage 16013 DJ so I just picked this up today. It's a 1970 Tudor Prince Oysterdate Jumbo. 38mm with alternating red/black roulette date wheel. I have to say that the size is great and really has me thinking about picking more of these Tudors up. Just put it on a new DiModell calf strap. I'm timing it right now to test it's accuracy.

Thanks to the forum for your advice.

Jim

That's a beauty, Jim. Those JUMBO Oysters are a great size and another nice Tudor attribute.
Careful now, Tudors can be very addicting.

The Jumbo DD's and DJ's were produced from 1970 to 1979 and came in 3 bezel styles, including a Date + Day w/ rotating bezel. Some have speculated Rolex used the original Milgauss case for these. Not sure if that's true though.
My watchmaker finally sourced the necessary parts for my Tudor DD and hope to have it back soon.

I really like the 38mm Tudors and was inspired by Dan to track this one down. I'm wearing it right now. Congratulations on yours, it's a beauty.

Those are gorgeous DDs, Dan and Buz!

We really need to have a Tudor section! I wasn't aware these DD+bezels even existed!
