Will conventional buckle work on OEM Rubber deployant strap

Have a PAM 25 Submersible with OEM rubber strap fitted with deployant clasp. Will a conventional style buckle work on this rubber strap, or would I need to buy the Panerai rubber strap with regular buckle?

it should work, the only difference is in the short end of the strap. The notch where the tang on a normal buckle would be is a little wider so when you aren't wearing it, the tang might slip around a bit, but shouldn't be a problem.

That's my main reason for asking the original question. Good to know that a tang buckle will work.

Thanks for the info.
