Hello everyone. I am looking to buy either a SS GMTIIC or the new Submariner Black Dial. The matt bracelet of the Submariner is drawing me more towards it. What is the general consensus here, which one would u buy if u already had a GMTIIC YG and a white Daytona. Would u add a SS GMT IIC or the Submariner ?

i have always thought the GMTIIC YG to be a much nicer watch than the SS version, but i've also always thought of the SUB as a much nicer watch in SS than any other variants.

so if you already have the GMTIIC in YG, just get the SUB C in SS.

Between GMTiiC and Subc......... I'll get a GMT, but since you already have a YG GMTIIC, go for the SubC.

I usually go for the GMT-IIc in these head-to-heads, but if you already have a YG GMT-IIc go for the Sub without question...great collection you're building btw...

However if it was me and I already owned a gold GMT, I'd go for the Sub.

normally, i'd say GMT over Sub --but since you have a YG GMT already (and a Daytona), it would make more sense (if it can be said to make sense to purchase a 3rd Rolex :-p) to get the Sub :-)

I flipped my 1 yr old SS GMTIIc for a Sub C.

The GMTIIC to me was always an interim satisfy-er before the Sub C came out and I believe that was the case for most but due to price of the new SubC, it became automatically exclusive.

Althou I still like my SS GMTIIc, I absolutely adore my SubC

I'm thinking the exact same thing...I always thought the Sub was the iconic Rolex sports watch, but I fell in love with the GMTIIc when I tried it on. But now that I've see the Sub C, I'm very tempted to flip...

I like the bezel of the Sub and the polished center links of the GMT II. I had a GMT IIc and flipped (not very happy with the weight). I don't travel much and do not dive more than 10 mts deep. I am happy with my 16613 blue dial but if I had the cash and had to choose I'd pick the new Sub and will try to polish the center links.

If you did not already have a YG GMT-IIC - I would have recommended the SS GMT-IIC. With your current collection, the new Ceramic Sub would balance your collection nicely.
