Exp II and Sub ND

Would anyone here owned both of Exp II and Sub ND like to share the difference on your wrist between their weight and comfortably? All the ADs here are out of stock, so I don't have the chance to try it on. Thanks!

I have exactly those two watches, as you know I have a SEL bracelet on my 14060 and I find little or no difference in the wearing of either one. The little difference would be the larger crown on the sub which will bite the back of your hand under certain circumstances. Love them both.

Both beautiful pieces, but i prefer the more refined clasp from the EX2.

I considered flipping my Sub nd for an Explorer II, so I've spent some time at ADs comparing them. The Exp II sits flatter on the wrist since the underside of the case is a little thinner (I guess it's because it's only rated to 100m rather than 300m). Feels a little lighter to me. Plus it has the date, nice feature.

But, I just prefer the classic look of the Sub, so I kept it. And that timing bezel is so damn useful!

I have an ExpII and tried on a 14060M a few days ago. Fit great, very similar overall. Looks a little smaller on the wrist though. Nice watch, will probably be my next watch. Just trying to decide between new(er) or vintage!

I understand from other people's comments on similar threads that the Exp II fits under sleeve cuffs better than watches that have a rotating bezel.

I had to struggle with the same issue when I purchased my ExpII, which I really love. After wearing it for several months I still questioned whether I made the right choice. Every time I saw someone wearing a sub I would want one. Finally, I decided to save for a sub and bought a reasonably price vintage Tudor sub-date that now shares wrist time with my ExpII....After a few months of wearing both, I still prefer the ExpII for going out and dress wear. If only given the choice of one I would choose the ExpII. Either will make you happy though

I own both, and use the Exp II (2003 model) as my everyday work beater. I have thin wrists, but the Exp II feels as if it lays flatter (lower profile) on them. I find myself wanting to wear the Sub (probably because it really is the iconic classic look), but I really enjoy the uniqueness of the all ss case & bezel. Speaking of uniqueness, I don't think I have ever seen another watch that looks very similiar to the Exp II...

Besides its lower profile on the wrist, I prefer the Exp. II's shorter clasp, as it sits nicer on the underside of my wrist.

the sloped bezel on the eii makes it wear very slim and light on the wrist.

i have a Exp II and Sub LV. After wear the Sub, I can tell the difference that the Exp II is more comfortable and slimmer on the wrist.

Yea, You're the only one here I know to change to the SEL for the Sub ND, thanks for the sharing!

Agreed with the refined clasp for Exp II, but I can't make any comment for the SubND's clasp, because of I have never seen it in ADs.

I think all the Rolex lineup is great, just depends on what the person to wearing it on.

don't you believed that if you bought a Rolex Sub ND or Date last time, then the feeling is really difference, maybe you're now still struggling with which one much better.

Agreed, it seems that the Sub ND come with longer and coarse stamped clasp, isn't it?

Thanks for all the posts, for the comfortable between Exp II and Sub ND, seems that bias on Exp II quite a bit. Ok, then let see get a day to try it on to feel what the difference is, but out of stock all the time in ADs.

i actually sold the sub shortly after that photo was taken. i'd say the exp2 is a bit more comfy.

i certainly do like that photo... very useful to illustrate the differences. in fact, i have loads of pics comparing different models. i should post them.

as so many have already stated, the exp2 will not sit up so much and the crown will not dig into your wrist. the clasp has a nicer, lower profile. i do like the sub, though. but the exp2 and the 16710 gmt2 are undoubtedly more comfortable and will always win me over.

i did a lot of traveling with my exp2, and i loved not worrying about the rotating bezel. so many wish the bezel rotated, but that is exactly what is so wonderful about it - one less thing to worry about.

Weight wise you would not feel any difference Exp 11 126 grams, 14060m 127 grams
