Two of Pateks new Annual Calendars

These are two very different watches.

And if you were having to decide between one of them, makes the decision very difficult, because of their differences.

But I thought that I would run a poll, to see what the members views were?

As you can see I have shown both the dial combinations of the 5205G. This piece is the first watch to come with sculptured lugs as you can see in the photo. This piece is a 40mm case and though has a slightly concaved case does sit quite high up of the wrist, and it comes in W/G.

The 5726 nautilus is the first annual calendar that Patek has made in S/S, it is also quite a chunky watch with a 40.4mm case size. And comes on a leather deployant strap with an additional waterproof strap supplied, for those swimming holidays.

Regards

Tony

I voted for the 5205G with the dark dial. I simply like the contrast of the white lettering on the dark dial better than the reverse. I also like the dark dial/white metal contrast. But either dial makes for a stunning watch.

Not much of a fan of the 5726. Very nice, but with Pateks, I prefer that classic look!

I voted dark dial 5205G, most stunning watch of all three stunners!

I agree with the other two posts, the 5205G with the dark dial is my favorite of the three. Both references are great, however. I have the rose gold 5712 Nautilus and really like it. It was my first Patek. My most recent purchase was a 5960P with the blue dial, which IMO, other than having a chrono function, is very similar to the 5205. It is very classy and elegant looking while the Nautilus is more of a sports model. If I was looking for another annual calander, the 5205G would be my choice. It's on my short list at this time.
Good luck with your choice. This is really an easy task since there is no wrong answer.

The nautilus is my favorite, it's more iconic to me. And besides I don't like the dial design much of the first two - either light or dark...

I love the Nautilus, but with those complications, the dial seems just a little too busy for me. I voted for the light dial, but meant to click the dark dial. Either or, they both are incredible....

Thank you to those who have responded so far.

Ken, you have a cracking couple of Patek's. Do you also have the Zeitwerk as per your avatar?

Regards
Tony

I have a 5711/1a Nautilus and love it dearly. However, I just don't think the complication works well (visually) with this dial. I have a very slight preference for the lighter 5205. By the way, there's a short piece on this ref in the current Patek magazine.

Thank you for the info, I have just received my magazine so will take a look.

And thanks to everyone who has posted or comentated so far.

I was already leaning towards the darker dial 5205G, but wanted to see what other members thought, as there may have been something, that I had not considered!
