Tactical Pens?
Any of you guys into tactical pens? I have a few and really like them. Strong, sturdy and most of mine take all the popular refills. My collection consists of: Mont Blanc Starwalker, Benchmade 1100, Archangle polymer body, Tom Anderson Twister, modded Zebra 701 (Now takes gel insert from a Zebra 301), and a cheap Foray from Office Max that is super nice!

I never knew such pens existed. I mean I have seen them on the websites for some of the companies mentioned, but I just assumed they were regular pens. I think I may benefit from a tactical pen given my line of work.

Look up Rick Hinderer tactical pens...made in both titanium and aluminum. Among law enforcement folks, these pens are very popular.

Cool, I didn't know there was such a thing as 'Tactical Pens'
![]() What are their qualities that distinguish them as 'tactical' in nature ![]() ![]() PS: I don't see anything wrong with a folded leatherman.

Not necessarily as any pen will do that, but they are better for hitting pressure points and useful for certain martial arts disciplines. Pointed tips break through car windows fairly easily as well.

The Surefire has got a windscreen breaker, must admit that it is not a facility I have used on a regular basis. I posted the photo above (post 2) because I think all three are superb examples of stunning American design and manufacture.

Dont know.
Got this snippet of info from the site where I purchased the pen. The SureFire Pen comes standard with a high-performance Schmidt® Technology easyFLOW ink cartridge, which is all about performance, but the pen is fully adjustable too; you can use nearly any ink cartridge (between 3.875 and 4.25 in long) with a simple adjustment. Smooth writing performance, elegant yet bold design, and it breaks glass in an emergency.

There is an Uzi Mk.2 tactical pen in black.
It is aluminium and takes Fischer refills. Seems like good value ![]()

Here is my collection of "Tactical Pens"... enjoy! Surefire, Benchmade (x2) and a Rick Hinderer. Always get compliments on them. They all use the fisher space pen refills.

Lion, I highly recommend the surefire. Writes very well and feels really nice in the hand. Not as "bulky" as the others...

Countycomm has a nice stainless pen. Little on the heavy side but the o-rings are cool.
