Two new Planet Ocean models

42mm on mesh (2201.52.00):

45mm on mesh (2201.53.00):

I assume the other PO models will be available on the mesh as well.

That's pretty cool IMO.
Is it the new style mesh?

Yes, if you want, you can order the mesh with a clasp similar to Ploprof´s!!

Those both look like terrible photoshops, how dome the edge links are half snipped, shame they couldn't do a better job with the stock photo

Yeah, and if you count the links across the width, you'll see both have 16 even though the width of the bracelets is no doubt different.

Reminds me of my Superocean on the mesh.

Not too sure that I like those. Still it's great to have multi-strap options.

I like the mesh a ton. Better than the other bracelet IMO.

Bring on the 8500, Liquidmetal, and this mesh and Omega might actually be able to count me as a customer!

These are the real deal and appear on the Omega Offical website:

http://www.omegawatches.com/gents/se...ocean/22015200

http://www.omegawatches.com/gents/se...-size/22005300

I actually like the look of the braclet, just didn't like the overly chunky look of the Ploprof 1200 M (I did try one on for fun).

Might have to look into this.

Cheers

Yep I was told Omega was going to have an updated mesh for new models last year. These should resemble the PloProf version more than the NOS ones we are used to seeing.

Interesting. Both images also have 16 links across. Omega must be making the actual links smaller in the bracelet for the smaller watch in order for this to be possible.

If that's the case, the links will be thicker as well, and heavier, which sounds a bit strange. I still think its a bad photochop because they want all the versions of the PO to be uniform in the pictures, but with different strap choices, they cut and paste them in.

The current mesh from Omega tapers down to 20MM to mate up with the clasp. Regardless of lug width (20, 22 or 24mm) the number of links across the width of the band remains the same on each end. I have no idea how they would do this but it is interesting to trying to figure it out.

Any real life photos of the 45.5mm? i recently sold my Cal8500 42mm as i felt it is too thick for me. the 2500 seems more comfy. just wonder if mesh looks ugly on a small 6.5in wrist...

sorry to revive this old thread.
