I think I'm ready to go back to the PC. So long Mac.

The thing is that I've been out of the PC world for years now. What's going on in there ?? How is this 7 ???

Mac's are like Absolut Vodka.....name recognition, but largely inferior....with GREAT marketing.

PS. I hate the Mac, hipster, "counterculture" that everyone's a part of.

In that case, it's good to be hated.

I thought Mac is the way to go and I still think so,it's just that I'm sick of reading on software boxes stuff like " System requirements : windows vista or up.....etc etc.." Sick sick sick. I just need to buy the damn freaking box and shove the cd in the computer without any further wank-o-fascist trendy fashion way of doing it,the heck.....
I'll keep my good MacMbook of course. No,never installed windows on Mac and don't give a damn about doing so...

Nothing wrong with a Mac if u r ok paying two to three times the price for the same functionality (I'm talking Internet, basic word processing, basic photo stuff).

I'm no fanboy or computer fanatic for any particular brand. All I know is my Macbook Pro runs better and faster than any other I've ever used. If it works as promised, it works for me. Your mileage may vary.

I use both win7 and Mac and sometime Linux.
They are all very good. Mac does seem to be the fastest and trouble free. Mac also now has Office 2011 which is every bit as good as Office for Windows.
Win7 is a very respectable OS and I like it a lot

ATM I use a PC laptop more often than a MacBook Pro when I do "real" stuff. Guess I'm still a PC person deep inside (the MacBook transition didn't really work for me )

Otherwise either the iPhone or iPod Touch is good enough for quick fix (ie. Google search, weather report, forum posts etc.)

I use a pc at work. Macs at home. With iPhones, apple tv, ipads and Mpros.... Home is where I get more interesting stuff done :)

The pc is a good, reliable workhorse.

Windows7 is a useful system. Way ahead of vista. But I wouldn't ever use it for my home set up.

Too much upkeep on a PC for a daily. If I REALLY needed a powerful computer, I would spring for a PC. Since I do not, my MacBook Pro does everything I need it to(and them some), reliably and more efficient.

I've used PCs for years now and the only reason I will not buy a Mac is because there's just no flexibility.

For the money that I can afford to spend I get a desktop that's really an upright laptop. Everything is crammed into the monitor.

I like my tower and I like the fact that I can switch out my monitor without any problem at all.

I like the fact that I can download almost any software and it will work for me.

I like to call the shots when it comes to my computer.

Microsoft lets me do that.

It's worth the hassle and besides, it's the third party software and malware that creates problems for Microsoft OSes.

If you just take some precautions and stay up with the updates and be responsible, you'll get along with a lot fewer hassles and for me at least, the benefits outweigh the risks.

You just answered your own question; just walk away, there's always gonna be some company out there building something you will like, so why not get what you like...

Macs do a couple of things very well (video and audio editing) but Windows is the way to go for most applications.

I own and use both, but prefer my Windows based computers. You also get a lot more for the $.
