16710 Bezel Assembly on a 16610?

Hello everyone,
I'm curious if anyone out there is technically knowledgeable enough to know whether or not a GMT
bezel assembly designed to fit a 16710 is the same bezel
assembly (the bezel and crystal retainer) as the one that comes on the 16610 submariner?
I've tried to do some research, but I'm coming up snake eyes on the answer.
Thanks for any help,
Jack

I've seen a chart on this forum, from a japanese website, that lists various dimensions of the Rolex sports models. I believe the bezel assembly of the 16710 is slightly bigger than the 16610. May be doable but I doubt it.

The inserts are the same size, but the bezel on the Sub is bi.directional only turns one way has slightly different mechanism.

I'd like to use the GMT bezel assembly, minus the insert, on a submariner.
The listing says the BA will fit the 16710 and 16760, which is an older watch.
The parts included are the bezel, insert, click spring, washer and crystal retainer.
All of this would be going on a late model 16610.
Thoughts?
Jack
