Hand Lineups
Just noticed that when my second hand hits the 1200 position the minute hand is about 1/2way between marks on the dial. Should the lineup to the dial mark match the timing of thesecond hand, seems I am consistently 30 seconds off?

The correct alignment will only be attained if you use a solid marker on the dial, i.e. either one of the round circles, the 2 rectangles at '6' and '9' or the main triangle at '12'. Once the second hand sweep comes on '10', stop the watch; then align the long minute hand to EXACTLY BISECT one of the markers I've mentioned above. When you've reached a pre-determined time from an accurate source, push the crown home so the watch starts up. When the second hand comes to '12' it will match up with the minute hand which is also on the selected marker. All this is rather difficult to explain, but I think you should get the gist. What I'm trying to say is that the second hand should be stopped on the '10' marker, then the minute hand aligned and then the watch started up. Good luck - JJ
