The Eagle Has Landed!!

My 2010 ND Sub 14060m arrived today! Going to my AD to get it sized; I wear my Seamaster on the loose side (don't like snug) and I believe only one link will need to be removed.

As promised, here are the pics:

Nice watch a Rolex classic but why go to AD to remove a link its very easy to do yourself all you need is a 1.6mm screwdriver.

Padi,

Could you elaborate a bit (this is all new to me)? Which link? How do I keep the bracelet symmetrical? Any tricks/tips would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want to screw something up.

Great choice....

Are you sure that you need to remove any links ? With a Seamaster I need to take a few out, but a Rolex fits without any modifications and there is quite a range of micro holes in the clasp for adjustment...........

Tools, you are right! Padi told me the same. Now, how do I adjust the pin? Simply push it in? Sorry to be so ignorant, but as a Rolex newbie, I just don't want to screw anything up.

Thanks Padi! Used a toothpick and moved the pin over 2 spots - perfect fit! I am amazed at how much lighter the bracelet is compared to my Seamaster.

I love it!!

get a small flathead screwdriver and remove links on either side of the clasp until you have the fit you want. simple as that.

you do not even need to remove the bracelet from the watch case.

also, once you've removed any links and are close to the desired fit, changing where the dive extension inserts into the clasp for the micro-adjustment will give you the fit you're looking for.

congrats... that was the first model i purchased several years back... aw, the memories!

Here is Larry's tutorial on adjustment: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=44158

The 14060 has the cleanest face. Love that diver along with the SD 4000. Congratulations.

Thanks everyone, for the great comments. I took Padi's advice and simply moved the pin over 2 holes - pure bliss!

I've been wearing my new Sub for the last 4 hours and I must say, the bracelet is the most comfortable of any watch that I have owned. My Seamaster was most comfortable, followed by the Breitling, both of which have been relegated to occasion wear!

Picked up 2 "nice watch" comments today... wow.

Now I understand why everyone on this board raves about their wonderful Rolex watches. This is by far the most informative and most enjoyable forums to date.
