Explorer II
My new Explorer II (Black Face), is starting to be more and more my daily watch to wear! (The IWC UTC gets some time as so does the Sub LV for the pool and gym - may have to sell the new GMT Red Black as it is hardly getting worn at all : ( )
Really liking the simplicity of the Exp II. Very slim fit, and has the date function and alternate time zone funtion. Very solid and sporty good looking watch. LIke how the bezel is fixed and slopes downward and does not interfer with the crown as the bezel on the GMT does. Tried it with a Nato strap, but did not look right. Looks best with the SS Bracelet. Now the Sub LV looks better with a Olive Drab Zulu or Nato. Exp II great watch for my travels, trekking, exploring, and hunting trips. |

Explorer II is definnitely nice, but it is suprising that it is getting more time than the GMT - maybe because it is new.

I like the way the Exp II fits on the wrist. Little smaller in diameter and like the way the bezel slopes downward. The Stainless bezel also blends in nice with the SS Bracelet. Has become my primary watch.

The EXPII is a very nice watch Chad. To me, no watch is 100% to my liking, but the EXPII comes close.
I like....
I prefer...
down side..... Although it's 40.2mm in diameter, it seems a bit too small for my wrist. Must be an illusion |

YOu can see the big difference size wise in the bezel. That is why it is actually 39mm vs 40.2 for the GMT. The GMT's bezel hangs over the sides more. THis is readily noticable with the crown. The full crown and it's protectors are visible with the Exp II, where as with the GMT the bezel goes right up to the crown. This makes adjusting the crown to wind, set the hands,e tc.. much more easier on the EXP II than on the GMT.
Yes,the Explorer II is a fine piece of engineering. |

I like the white and black versions. The white looks much better in person than in photos. I picked the Black as it look a little more traditional and less sporty, to me. The Black seems to go with whatever I wear. Can understand your sons like of the White dial. Is he wearing it all the time now? Great gift for him. Would like to get a white exp II as well though.

I was thinking I would get a Yachtmaster, but saw a white Exp II. It was the first time I had that "gotta have it" feeling about a watch. Nearly 7 years later it is still my favorite watch. |

The Exp II is a great watch, Chad., both in black and white dial versions. But I have to admit, I prefer the rotating bezel on the GMT. It just gives it that much more flexibility for timing things - like parking meters and the like.

My White Exp. II is my daily wearer.
Love how it looks and feels on my wrist. My YM is more for weekends!

I had mine for only a couple of months, really didn't smile at me.
But, it is the best "stealth" watch rolex makes. No one ever asked about it's authenticity, or even looked twice. PAtrick
