Rolex Servicing

Hi all

Dreading sending the watch away for a service to Rolex London. It would take circa 3 months at least.

It was purchased in 2005 and by Rolex recommendation, it needs its 5-year service. However, the watch is running fine albeit a little fast but still within COS, I reckon.

Despite being a two-tone there are hardly any scratches and bracelet looks great.

Should I still take it in or wait a year or so.

There is no reason to adhere to a strict 5 year rule.. Rolex does not mandate such a time-table..

Here is what they used to say (I've heard that they will soon say 8 years).. You can read that there is plenty of wiggle room "depending on their wearing habits., about...etc.."

Many thanks Tools

Sadly, I am always one to adhere to servicing by the books similar with cars.

Accordingly, I genuinely believed that I should service my watch regardless.

Shall I leave for a year then?

I've just got mine back, and 3 months is correct. I waited nine years before sending it, though!

Depending on your wearing habits..... so I would say if you haven't been wearing it daily, you could wait a year or two or three.... depending on your wearing habits.

If you are a daily wearer, and you are a stickler for following rules, get it in now!!
