The Chuck Yeager Rolex GMT is it a collectors piece?
Hello guys,
I was thinking to buy a rolex GMT C.Yaeger here in Japan and I was wondering if it can be called a collectors piece or not. I have made some research and it seem not to be a model made by rolex. If You guys have some advice is more then welcome. F.Gala |

I have never heard of a C Yeager GMT made by Rolex. I can not believe buying a fake Rolex would ever be considered an investment, just a rat hole to pour your money into.
If you want to make an investment, buy securities or Real Estate. |

Interesting, I had not heard of those watches though Chuck Yeager is a living legend in aviation.
I'm not sure of the value of those watches as the customization was done by a third party. |

Prior to all the hype on breaking the sound barrier, Col. Yeager wore an early Rolex Submariner on a daily basis:

To me it seems like pure hype and marketing. He neither wore it or even signed it.

Not produced by Rolex, they are customized.
I wouldn´t bet my money on them, although they are nicely made. |
