Bulova Accutron Tuning Fork

I have an a vintage Buova Accutron Tuning Fork watch that I received as a high school graduation present in 1971 (back when buffaloes still roamed the plains). I came across it while cleaning out a dresser drawer. It doesn't work. Do these watches have any value other than sentimental?

Many people traded in their Accutron tunning fork watches when Bulova changed it to a Quartz model. So some watch shops have lots of parts available to get & or keep your old accutron tuning fork model opperational. I have a 1977 RR 218 (railroad) watch that still works great. Get it fixed and once again enjoy the sound of that fork vibrating.

It's an important part of watch history -- the most accurate watch in the world before quartz came into play. They fetch a few hundred dollars on ebay and there are some technicians who specialize in keeping them going. Note, I believe the lume on the original accutrons contains radium.
