Tudor small rose prince oyster date question

I have a vintage Tudor prince oyster date with small rose logo (? Year 1950/60). There is no magnifying lens over the date window. Can it be a fake one or the crystal got replaced? I am a newbie and thank for the help.

Hi Chris, welcome aboard!

Regarding your Tudor, we can best analyse it and make a determination with clear high res photos. In the meantime, the link below will give you some general timeframes for earlier Tudor watches. Just scroll down to "Dials"

I don't want to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol IS a solution!

Thank you for the advise. Photos of the watch for comment (sorry for the quality). Is it strange that it is not a cyclop crystal and I think it can be a replacement crystal. In fact I have difficulty in visualizing the serial number, it may be 28xxxx or 23xxxx.

I think some models like this one came with a domed plexiglass and no cyclops. Not sure!
