My next Rolex - modern or vintage?
Hi All
While I am not planning on buying another Rolex for a little while I have already begun considering what it might be. I have a Submariner (16610) and a GMT-Master II, which I am both extremely happy with. I love the vintage Submariner 5513 but am also tempted for the new Submariner with the ceramic bezel. Owning either would be a delight. So the question is which way would members go - vintage or modern? ![]() M |

Vintage - anyone can buy a new rolex - a vintage watch has far more personality.

I got a sense that you will eventually get both, it is just a matter of which one comes along first with the price and condition you desire. Naturally, when the right 5513 shows up, don't pass it up.

Vintage definitely. You've already got the new. Buying vintage may be a little more difficult and takes more patience, as long as you remember- buy the dealer, not the watch...you'll do fine.

Good choice, vintage watches are so much more special IMO. Just know that once you go vintage you will definitely get the sickness.
