Get rid of the painted on crown?

I enjoy my Sea-Dweller and my Submariner, I have always wished the professional models such as the SD and the Sub came with an actual crown affixed to the dial and not just a painted on crown. I am thinking of a crown similar to that of the Daytona at the twelve hour marker.

Would you support such a change to the professional series dial?

At one time they did the nipple dialled TT Subs had the gold Rolex crown emblem on dial. But today with high volume dial production its far easier to just laser machine print the dials.

That is one of the reasons I like my Datejust, has the WG Crown at the 12 Oclock. But, for the Sport models, a large luminous triangle is good to go!

No, it is Rolex's perogative to do what they want, and our perogative to buy or not buy! if we don't like it.

Brendan I like your photo as well, nothing like the classic root-beer GMT.
