Hi Peter, welcome aboard!
Rolex produced a number of various style ladies cocktail watches in the 50's and 60's. None are considered particularly collectible, but we have acquired several of them. Please post clear pix of the dial, case back, bracelet, and if possible of the movement and inner case back. If its authentic its probably powered by the caliber 1400/1401, the smallest movement Rolex ever made.

another cocktail watch
Hi Alcan
At the same time i bought the watch i bought another on eaby that was listed as a genuine rolex - i then found out it was not and the ebayer watch company refused to take back but that was ages ago and my wife liked it I just had our rolexes serviced etc and my watch man said it was a Handley 9ct 1940's watch with a PEASUX movement from ebaches in switzerland it is again very dainty 25mm x 13mm excluding winder Someone had rolex inscribed on the dial i have attached 3 pictures any ideas or comments and value? |

Hello there.
Re the '282' watch. Could this have a Rolex Cal. 282 movement. or is the model number 282? Re the Handley ('Rolex'!) I cannot help with the value but it has a nice movement. May I suggest you have the ratchet wheel screw replaced with a screw that has a lower head than the existing. It appears that the existing screw is still rubbing on the inside of the back, this takes off minute pieces of gold that will mix with the lubricant and cause wear - where ever there is lubricant! Happy Christmas and good new year to all. Tylden. |
