Thinking! thinking to buy 177

Guys, I have the itch in buying this watch Pam 177. Please convince me to buy it with some wrist shots. I appreciate it very much!

New to the forum and I am looking to buy my first Panerai and I want the same one. I think it's a great choice but like you would love to see some wrist shots of this amazing piece.

Do you like Ti over SS? There's quite a weight difference. I'm an SS kind of guy.

This was my first PAM and the start of the disease! Here are a few iPhone snaps on the way home from the AD that fateful night:

The 177 is a great watch, but I'd recommend a 000 or 005 over it. It just depends on what you want (ss vs ti, sandwich vs painted, sub second dial or not, logo or not). Goodluck!!!

Sorry for the newbie questions. I take it the SS version has more weight to it? Also the 177 comes with a sandwich dial right? I believe the 111 is the same thing but in SS so I am going back and forth between these two.

Several months ago I looked at the PAM 177 & 25 Titanium Submersible. I ended up getting the 25 and love it. The 177 has the sandwich dial which I much prefer over the painted dial. It also has a sub seconds hand which adds life to the watch face, as compared to the 176. The big thing with the 177 is the Titanium case. The weight difference vs. SS is considerable and the brushed finish and color tone of the case are other substantial differences. I prefer the Titanium 177 on all three above counts.

The 177 is awesome and was almost my first. I opted instead for the 240 (brown dial Ti auto) because I wanted the date & auto function, but I would have been happy with either. I may still pick up a 177 one of these days since I don't have a sandwich dial. I'd say go for it!

The things I like most about the Ti models are the rich warm color and the soft reflective properties. It's a warmer Ti than the stuff I've seen from Breitling, etc. I do wish it was a bit heavier, but I can deal with that, and Ti has a great comfort factor. The manual wind 177 will be slightly thinner and lighter than the 240 auto and also the 351 I would think.

What model is the most like the 177 but with an automatic movement? I like the Ti brushed look, second hand and sandwich dial with the 177 but I'd like auto instead of manual.

that's what I'm aiming about, its the comfort because its lightweight and the thickness, the thinner it is the smaller the watch will look and fits my small wrist.

Pulled the trigger and I'm very happy with this watch. It fits comfortably on my wrist. Thanks again for all the convincing pictures fellow TRF. Hope you guys also like the dark brown leather band on it.

The PAM 177 is a classic panerai and you will love it for sure. Good luck with the strap hunt!
