Newbie here- Pam 351 vs. Rolex Deepsea!
If you had to choose one watch to wear everyday which would it be?
I currently own the 351 now but the Deepsea is something that is tickling my side. I love the 44mm watches because I have a big wrist and am a naturally bigger guy. Which watch would you prefer? I know this is a rolex forum but I've posted over at Paneristi also... TIA Frank |

I've had the Deepsea and its a great watch. But if I should have one of the two, I'd go for the Panerai. It wears much nicer than the Deepsea IMO.
But eather way you won't go wrong:) |

Well, it all depends on what you do on a daily basis.
The 351 has more flair with the golden hands, Ti case with ss bezel, you can dress it up/down with various straps etc. Personally I don't like the height of either of these watches (~18mm). The Deepsea kills the Panerai in terms of tacit feel and superlative engineering IMO. It just feels/operates like a precision instrument. Tough call, one is a dressy city watch and the other is superlative diving instrument that you can take to hell and back. I prefer the latter but your call really. |

Might be a dumb question but are you wearing your Pam on a strap or on a bracelet?
As this might come down to strap vs bracelet decision |

Dan, I don't even understand what your post means???? You know what the Deep Sea looks like and you can google 351 is you want to see what it looks like.
The 351 is one of the most stunning watches I have ever had on my wrist. You would regret selling it once you had that hunk of metal on your wrist they call the deep sea.

I have the PAM 359 (which is S/S and probably heavier than the 351) and a Deepsea.
It would be very difficult to choose between them but if forced to pick a daily wearer, I'd go with the Deepsea. I prefer heavier watches on the wrist and need a rotatable bezel for timing my workouts. |

Keep the PAM. The simplicity and elegance of it blows the Deep Sea out of the water (pun intended). The Deep Sea is a bit tacky with all the writing on the inner ring; I have seen counterfeit Subs that looked better.

I'd go DSSD. But that's ME. You have to choose what works for you. I had a Panerai and I sold it. I like them they are cool but the no bezel was a deal breaker for me. The lume was a plus though.

I like both brands, really. But between the two models you mentioned, the Deepsea wins my vote, hands down.

I like both brands as well and have a Panerai 312 and a Deepsea. I love my Panerai, but I do wear the Deepsea more, no particular reason.

I'd go with the DSSD, but I agree with LostInTime, the watch would look better without the writing on the ring.

Both are sharp watches. I think the choice comes down to bracelet or strap. DS is my daily. I'd say pick up a DS and rotate. If you have to choose between the two, good luck with that.
