LV question

Fellow enthusiasts, looking for an answer to the following: is it true that on the first year edition LV the insert could not be swapped for a black 16610 insert since the dimensions were different. And that this was only possible with subsequent editions?
Thanks for any input.

No, that is not true..

The LV is simply a 16610 with some different cosmetics........ All parts completely interchange..

I just seem to recall a review in a German watch mag pointing out that the bezel inserts were not interchangeable when the LV first came out. And I know there was a boatload of revision albeit minor ones to the LV.

It's just like any Sub and you can change the insert with no problem

That was reported once upon a time. What sort of basis there was for it I have no idea. I have an early F and there's no problem.
