it's the 28th !!! Let's see your 10:10: 31 secs shots !!!

Cmon guys, this is the pic Rolex got us used to the most, the classic marketing 10:10:31 secs 28th of the month pic.

If you miss the AM you can still catch the PM,but since I know it's friday don't drink too much and try to remember that,ok ?? No,even if your busy with a hottie or changing diapers you have to remember this,ok ???
Otherwise see you next month..

Oh wait !! Daytona and 14060M guys, did I hurt your feelings..

Enjoy your weekend

I don't think any of us waited until 10:10, we just hacked the movement and took the shot, photoshopped the crown back in, and good to go anytime!

Maybe this has been answered lots of times, but why does Rolex use this exact time and date¿

They do their photo shoots on the 28th of each month at 10:10am and pm.

OK, actually:

It creates visual balance and the hands look like they are supporting the coronet on the dial. The 28th is likely because it's the only date that most completely fills the space.

Purchased this one today and first thing I wanted to do was take a few pics. I was in beautiful Del Mar, CA, near the beach so I thought, this is perfect.

Just so happened to be around 10:10 .... this beautiful 5513 doesn't have a date (sorry), and I know I'm not exactly at 28 secs (again, can't hack this 1520 movement) ... frankly I didn't even think about the time ... but here's as close as you can get without thinking about it or timing it.

I love it!

It is also of course the highest date common to all months of the year.
