Icon2 You think you are are addicted to Rolex?

If YOU think, you might have an addiction to collecting Rolex watches, and that it kinda got out of hands, maybe THIS guy will be a comfort to you. There will always be a Rolex-addict even crazier than you :

I get SICK of envy looking at these photos!

I must convince myself that he copied the ONLY Cosmo SS and the ONLY LV he got, set it in photoshop and then pasted them multibly to show off!

Yeah, you're right! That fool made the second's hands too long editing them in Photoshop!

But I aggree with you. It is plain down silly to have so many watches that are exactly the same. Although he does have both the 16520 AND the 116520 and both black and white faced.

That guy must be loaded!

But as I have said in an earlier thread: How BORING wouldn't it be, if you could just buy ANY Rolex ANYTIME?? The magic of collecting would be gone, IMHO

You may not like the guy, but my contact with Cream shows that he really does have the most amazing collection I have ever seen. Cream's collection, which I think you can still see if you do a search, is very real. Some of them were from music awards and gifts and things like that. So without getting back into the irritating discussion about the banned Mr. Cream himself, go take a look at that collection and you will drool.

Hey, what is that other GMT that has a black dial and what looks like a turqoise and silver bezel? Has anyone else seen that before? Is it a special edition or what?

Basically the guy is saying that he has so many as they are all slightly different. A few different shades of green on the LVs and subtle other differences. And he also has 2 that match so he can wear one and keep one pristine. At least that's what I understand out of the conversation.

LOoks photoshopped to me. There is not supposed to be different shades of green, red etc on new watch bezels.

Maybe. Dealers don't get that many LV's at once. I think it is photoshop material.

Nope not photochopped. Those are all different. The Pepsi that looks messed up is damaged by light (it appears). The LVs all look in order. I know that the lettering has subtle differences on the LVs between 2003 and after. The white faced GMT is actually an Explorer dial in the GMT. Quite interesting. The guy is OCD if you ask me.

It's just a really faded pepsi insert on a 1675 or 16750.

I too don't really see the point of having so many very similar watches - IMHO two of any model is about right, one to wear and one as a safe queen if you must but who am I to knock this guy's collection, I'm probably just jealous!!
I would like to see a close-up of the top left watch though.

Do you know why the original poster of this chose '1530' for his watch layout? My monitor isn't good enough to tell if there is a 1530 in there somewhere.

Well spotted!

I had not noticed that before you mentioned it. NICE detail.

I wonder what other members make out of that

I dont know if you can go by the different shades of green as a way of telling. The watch really does take on different shades. You can turn your wrist slightly and have it almost look black.

i am not trying to tell anything....i mean there are indeed different shades of green bezel....not under different lightings not under wrist angles......it was between 2 LV side by side....

Now this thread's turned into a discussion about how green the bezels are etc.

Read this:

http://www.socialfunds.com/news/arti...ticle2270.html

and then let's be plain envious of his (admittedly exaggerated but still) super collection

Not in my book?

Maybe we should discuss just how green we are of envy and then turn to discussing the various levels of green we are envious at
