Not love at 1st sight

Some watches you see and know right away - "I want that" but what watches did you guys and girls see and think "nope, not for me" but you kept getting drawn back to, maybe even buying eventually?

For me it's the Omega Ploprof and the white dial EXPII. Neither clicked with me right away but I now own and love my EXPII and I really like the different style of the Omega. I probably won't ever buy one but stranger things have happened.

The Mega Port Royal Zeniths, in my case. It took me 3 or 4 months of staring at photos before deciding to take the shot. Part of the problem was they only made a few dozen, and nobody stocked them to actually see in the flesh.

For me it was Panerai. I saw all these people posting pics of them online and was like 'eh. Just didn't get the excitement. Then my AD made me try one on. Big mistake.

Rolex Datejust and Date models!
There was a time when I thought that this watches are beautiful, but somewhat "old people`s" watches, too small, and too dressy...
I was completely wrong, when I tried my beloved Tudor Prince Date (almost dead ringer to Rolex Date), I knew that this love will last!

Seiko Monster. Never thought twice about them, the model or brand. That progressed to considering them so ugly that they started looking kinda cool. Fast forward to the generously gifted OM [thanks, Chris!!] and once it was on my wrist, I was sold.
Now, just like M&M's, I want more!!!!

Tuna. Fugliest watch I've ever seen, HATED it at first, and now love it to bits.

I used to hate the PP Nautilus. Now I think it's absolutely sensational.

I replied to many a post here, saying the new Subc LV and the Blue Subc was too green and too blue. Then i had the opportunity from a fellow TRF member, to try on his 116613 LB, that was it, loved it and now it be my next Rolex. Hated it,now loved it.

For me it is Panerai as well. Not yet close enough to commit, but getting closer.
