wierd thing about my tudor

Wearing my tudor heritage chrono today for the first time. Love it. It's a little weird that it takes 48 clicks for the bezel to go full circuit. Why not 60?

I'll have to test mine. Well, my Heritage is upstairs, and too lazy to go it it. But just tested my C-sub, 120 clicks!!

My Heritage -- 48. Obviously each click, each silent click, encompasses a little more than 1 minute marker.

That's weird, 48 for the THC, 120 for the Sub c, and 24 for the GMT IIc.

48 suggests 30 min intervals on a 24hr clock...

Only 48 clicks is one of the reasons Tudor is less expensive than Rolex.

Those clicks cost $$$!

I've always wondered about that. You can't really use it to time anything because you can't line it up to the minute hand.

Well, never mind the number of clicks, but doesn't the 12-hour markings on the THC's bezel imply that it is used for a different time zone, and not as a timer?

That still doesen't make any sense, if you were going to use it for a second time zone, you would advance it one hour at a time, not 15 minutes.

There are timezones in the world with 15 minute offset from GMT. Like Nepal. There are also timezones with a 30 minute offset.

So, in theory, the Heritage is the first product from Rolex that adress this issue, but in real life it is difficult to read a 15 minute offset from the hour hand. I do that from the minute hand...

Does anyone really know what time it is?

Chicago, circa late 1960's.

Is counting the bezel clicks the first sign you may be a WIS?
