Am I too late ... Submariner 16610 UK

I finally decided that I am interested in a Submariner 16610 .....

Unfortunatley I cant seem to source one just yet! - I prefer a BNIB one with all paperwork and stuff.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in UK?

Certainly I would consider one from a fellow TRF member, but cant see one on the for sale section at the moment

Help ....

I think you'll find one if you ring round AD's (& maybe even greay dealers) mate.

Best of luck!

It may be worth ringing www.watchfinder.co.uk they may be able to source one for you.
I have used them a number of times & always found them very professional.

That is just silly. They are sitting in AD's in the states and can be had for nice discount.

My experience - they are a little hard to lay hands on right now for whatever reason. I have seen plenty in good shape (i.e. M serial in 95%) but almost none NIB over the past two weeks. Last ones that I saw sold were in the 5-6k range.

Well Patrick perhaps you can explain why a Sub c is $9600 in Oz and a Sub c LV is $10400? Especially as today our $ is worth more than yours???

I'm damned sure I can't.

And why would anyone pay a premium for a 16610 there must be millions of them in this world today. And anyone paying a premium price IMHO must be sixpence short of a shilling. All the millions of 16610 are all the same, except for now SEL,non lug hole case,a few minor fonts and a case letter.

i think that now you must be prepared to actively go looking/searching and perhaps have to wait a while untill you find one bnib. they are out there, like padi said they made millions of them. good luck and i hope that you get one.

I don't get this 16610 was priced more than a 116610 - are we sure this is correct?!

The Watch Source still has some for £4,380 (at time of posting).

Must say, I've never seen one priced higher than a Sub C anywhere, AD or Grey Dealer.

Have a look at Blowers. They always have a wide range of 'Unused' stock.

I was looking @ the Swissluxury.com site, no 16610 sub listed, went on Alanfurman.com, they had it on their site.
I assume the watch is no longer being manufactured?

Well I happened to look in the window this grey dealer at lunchtime and their prices are shocking!

http://www.carrdiamonds.com/watches/...ry/37/item/544

And there you have it a BNIB 16610 at £5,250 which is £280 more than the RRP of a 116610LN.

I work near Carr's and his prices are obscene.

Compared to Ancient and Modern. 16610 for £3595. Per link. So how can Carr have the front to ask that?

Plus he has a 2003 Used 16600. He wants nearly £5k. I've just bought a "V" series new untouched 16600 etc etc for £4700. From a dealer. Which I think is not too bad bearing in mind "Carr's" bargain price..

I think 16610's are a lot easier and cheaper to get. It seems they're still available in the US at AD's..
