Besides a list of other things wrong with it the serial is clearly acid etched . Reported |

That one page on eBay is giving my computer glitches. It took me forever to just copy the link of that auction page. Weird.

He claims he bought it at a pawn shop. Is it possible a pawn shop could have made a mistake here? I'm not trying to defend the seller in any way, I just wonder if there is a 2% chance this sort of thing happens now and then.

Yes , of course it can happen . With all the respect I have for most of the pawnbrokers , not all of them are experts on Rolex or have a conscience .

No chance. If you were buying a Rolex from a pawn shop, wouldn't you check it out for it's authenticity? Also, notice how he does not mention anything about authenticity on his item listing. This makes me sick.

Anyhow, I do own a fake Rolex, which was given to me by one of my parents. And since then I've learned a few dozen ways to tell the real deal from the fugazy, but I still have a lot to learn and perhaps I should work on that over the next month before I end up putting down an expensive purchase myself. |

Given that the seller's feedback is pretty good, I'm inclined to say he truly believes it's authentic. Probably someone gave him a "deal of a lifetime." But that's no excuse for selling a fake. And now that the authenticity of the item has been challenged X 3, he really should take it to a Rolex AD to have it authenticated. I have a feeling he won't be doing that any time soon.

The question is.... is E-Bay actually telling him the REASON as to why his item is being removed?

We got it again
This listing (140517502230) has been removed, or this item is not available. Also , yes Ebay tells them it was taken down because it was reported as fake . The seller will not be told exactly why and even less who reported it . also , even we do not know if the listing was taken down because of our report or not . |

Seller should stick to selling car parts
