Thanks for Rolex v. Patek Trade Suggestions

A few weeks ago i asked for "blanket" suggestions whether I should apply the trade of two (2) SS Rolex Daytonas to the purchase of a Patek Philippe 5146 in WG with WG bracelet.

I thank all who provided me suggestions on the possibilities.

Well, I bought the Patek and traded in two (2) of the Daytonas.
I love the new watch and I don't have an ounce of regret.
Without the trade I would never have been able to shell out the necessary bucks to acquire the Patek.

Also, lucky for me. I have one (1) more SS Daytona left that will now be worn and will be in on-street circulation. I love the SS Daytona also.

Thanks again for the suggestions,
Michael

Congrats Michael

I agreed with your trades. At least you still have a SS Daytona to enjoy, and a truely beautiful PP as well. Three Daytonas is two too many.

I would've done that trade in a heart-beat!

The 5146 is a great watch. I actually tried the 5146WG with WG bracelet last week. WOW

Annual calender with no need to change the date (even at February) until a leap year! Prefer it to a 3940 perpetual calender (which never needs date change until 2100), as the 5146 has a seconds hands, which I can't live without.

I am thinking about a 5146P (platinum) with leather strap, and seriously thinking of selling a few as well, including my DRSD and Red Sub.

But for the moment I'm just thinking.

Wear it in good health.

John.

good call IMO! [my only concern with the WG is especially as you have it on the bracelet is the rhodium plating!!!!! which patek uses on its WG models] that would be my choice too only on a strap/deployant
