Explorer II
Hi,
I'm new at this forum and I'm hoping to benefit from the vast source of knowledge here. I purchased an Explorer II Black Dial as an estate piece several months back. It was purchased from an AD in Scottsdale, AZ who had sent it to the authorized service center in LA. I've got all the paperwork associated with the service done. The watch is great, no complaints. What I'm trying to find out is the age, the AD said around the early '90's. The serial number begins with (X). Thanks in advance. Regards, LenP |

Hi Len, welcome aboard!
The X serials were used from the middle to the third quarter of 1991. http://www.watchbasics.com/rolex_serial_number.htm

Welcome to TRF. Yes, X-series would date back to around 1991. Let's see some pics of that fine watch. Cheers - JJ

Your ad is right. X is serial for 1991 manufacture.

Pictures
Hi,
I wish I could post some pictures of both my DateJust and Exp II, but because of moving from Scottsdale to San Diego, I still haven't located some of my stuff. I do know where my watches and guitars are though!! Regards, LenP |
