Question about Rolex DateJust

This past weekend I went with my friend to have a link taken out of his new SS Sub date. While that was being done I asked the sales lady to show me some men and women's DateJust's. I noticed that all the ones I looked at numbering about 9, were mostly "P", "F" serial numbers with only 1 "D" serial number. If they are so popular why are there so many old serial numbered ones around? Whereas all the GMT's, Sub's, SD, were "Z" serial numbers!

Without doubt the DJ is Rolex biggest seller don't forget there are other places in this World other that the USA.Now the Asian market is is the biggest outlet for the DJ type of watch. While the Americas, Canada, Europe etc, the sports range is there highest sellers.

I would agree. Asians wrists are usually smaller and the DJ is a better fit.

I wondered the same thing. I bought my TT DJ used. The AD said the owner was a friend of his and had worn the watch maybe 10 times and it looked it. They even gave me the 2 year Rolex warranty. However, when I looked at the paperwork, it was an "F" series. I was a bit disappointed but what the h***!
