mikes isnt a 5512...its an a6538.....

What movement is in this watch? 1560?
What examples of mil subs (not Comex) that are chronometer and are there any dials labeled as such?

I have seen these dials called Burford dials. My understanding is they are not Rolex printed, but reprinted over a Rolex dial. There is a little about them in the sticky thread above Ian Fleming’s 1016 Explorer Movement and SN? Quandary?

do you know ...off the top of my head i don't know for sure which movt is in there ..i want to say 1560...there are 2.5 of these watches around and a couple parts with serials on them that tie into the batch information we have gathered...

the 0.5 watch i'd say has had later movts, dial and hands fitted to use the case up....

these are 1960-61 .so before 5512 would have had the SCOC text they follow staright on from the use of the A6538 and i think one day we will find were a tiny batch of replacements or somethign similar...and i cant think of any scoc mil subs....ceratinly the 5513's aren't for obvious reasons.

its know that the MOD did its own accuracy and quality testing on the pieces when they got them..

Could it be a 1530 with 25 jewels like some of the early 5512's? I have clearly never seen one nor have most people. That is one rare watch!! Would be curious what movement is in it???

I didn´t mean the logo in general, I meant this very large one, on the reprinted military dials. In my eyes this large logo looks

Its not pretty made, like normal Rolex made logo.

Attached photos of my mil sub, case is dated 11.60 just for interest.
I bought this at the Rosyth government sale in the early 1980's. The bezel is a later replacement. The movement is a 1520
