Rolex Time Accuracy

I have a SD 16600.
It is running 30 sec faster per day, it is so bad I have re-adjust each 2 weeks.
AD said it is going to cost me +$550 to fix it.

Sounds like you've been quoted for a complete overhaul which would include regulation, and your watch may need all this depending on when it was last serviced. If a complete service has been performed within the past 6-8 years, I'd feel comfortable with a simple regulation and pressure test, have the AD quote only those services--shouldn't be more than $50 or so.

Well, you know that it's not going to get better by ignoring the issue...

What you get when you send it in for service through your AD is a complete tear-down, replacement of any worn or out-of-tolerance parts all with original Rolex parts; everything completely cleaned, oiled, and reassembled then regulated to within a couple of seconds a day...

It's then good as new for another decade or more..

I think that for a 5,000 dollar watch, the 600 bucks to have this done is more than a good deal...

In that case it is time for a service.... I would NOT just get the watch regulated, I would pack it up and send it into RSC for a complete overhaul... Think about this, a few hundred bucks today could save you thousands in the future Well worth the $$$ and just like changing the oil in your car
