Finally got to my first ever Omega and I have to say, I simply love it :-)
Thank you everyone on this forum, who has helped to influence my decisions. Back from deployment hence the absence from the site.
After deciding to buy an Omega PO and doing some very quick research. I let my wife know what I wanted, she agreed. So then went on the hunt for an Ad who could make the deal sweeter. Found the AD and they made the deal sweet enough, however I missed the mail for the day. Being an impatient WIS, I then decided to take a drive and collect my new workhorse in person. I tried on the 45.5mm and it took up my whole wrist, so then decided to stick with the 42.5. Tried the orange bezel, but decided against it, then tried the orange markers with black bezel. Again it somehow just did not look right. So in the end being conservative stuck to black on white markers. Sized up perfectly. I always thought that my GMT IIc TT sat perfectly. But the PO sits in the flat on my wrist with minimal movement. A nice heft to it similar to a gold daytona. So here are some quick photos.

Should have gone With the black bezel w orange numbers... Jk
That's what I have, but I was very torn between it and the dial you have. Great decision, congrats!

Great choice, everyone I know that bought any variation with the orange ended up selling it to get the 2201.50. Im going to wait till 2012 to see if they use LO on their standard models before buying one. I almost bought this watch 3-4 times.

Thank you all for the kind words, I love this watch much more them my rolex. Strange that I have never looked at the Omega brand ever before. I guess I was blinded by the Rolex branding. This watch pound for pound is such incredible value and with a nice 18% of retail made it even more appealing. I love this watch it has not left my wrist, nor do I envisage it doing so for awhile yet.

Big congrats on the PO. Looks great :)
I'm currently awaiting the arrival of a 2598.80 Seamaster Chrono. I've ordered a new bezel assembly and crystal. Hoping to make her like new. The waterproof pushers really sold it for me. Cheers |

Brilliant move - I like that you commented on the heft - people who have not tried the Omega will be very surprised how cheap and light other SS watches feel...
It's interesting that you have the GMTc - even though the PO has 2.5mm on the GMT - don't you find that it doesn't wear as big? |
