Nice holiday destination with oportunity to purchase a Rolex

So I wanna take the missus away but would also like somewhere I may get a good price on a daytona... any suggestions?

Hope she doesn't read this forum EVER!

I went to St Lucia a few years ago and they had 3 daytonas on display in this pyramid style duty free building it was a sort of tax free haven i believe.

Obviously I am are possible taxations

I am heading to Aruba next month so I called the Rolex AD down there about a possible purchase and to see what prices are.

They quoted the stock prices on the Subc's with no discount. THey quoted a 15% discount on the 116233 SDJ that I am looking for. Now, that could change face to face but they told me no LV in stock.

Try Tenerife. Not to far way. Rolex duty free haven. Any model you can think of. Besides that the island has turned into a Jet Set Hot Spot lately.

Lol if that's the case i'd fly there for the weekend for a sole purpose.

Anyone have any advice about shipping... IE ship the whole watch and box, or ship just the box and wear the watch?

Travel to Florida and buy from DavidSW - ditch the box and wear the watch back to UK - remember to look innocent as you smuggle the watch back through Customs

Spain, Portugal or Greece give the best discounts in the EU.

Money is not a factor, then purchase from any local AD.

Purchase from a trusted TRF seller, means you'll have extra money for vacation perks.

Exactly.....

I can see that people like to buy things like this on holiday as a momento. Perhaps buy one here on TRF, and then wear it on your vacation that you take (and have the benefit of the savings in your pocket....). Avoids the customs hassle as well.

You can spend that extra money on your trip for something cool that you may not ordinarily do...or do something crazy with it while there and have your memory that way.

(Or give it to the missus and be a hero....schwingggggg).........NO PUN INTENDED
