PloProf 1200m informational threadI wore it most every day but let it go when I was able to get my hands on the Planet Ocean Liquidmetal which is more of a dress watch for me. Fr. John† |

I admit that I hated the Ploprof the first time I saw it. But after going to the boutique and trying it on, it has really grown on me. I was comparing it to the PO LM. It is a very unique watch and very large. I could see myself using it for diving, but not as a daily wearer. It was just too large for that.

Yes, I have one on bracelet and then bought the orange strap. I do wear it daily and I love it. I don't wear cuffs to work so that isn't a concern. The size is not so crazy and the "balance" is great. Both mesh and rubber are super comfy.
I like larger watches anyway, like 44-48mm is my happy place normally. The clasp is amazing. Once you can open the clasp 1mm at a time you will never wear another watch on bracelet again. If you are thinking about it I would not hesitate. It looks great and feels awesome. Also I tried on the white one on a trip to Zurich. Holy smokes was it beautiful! I don't know if I would buy one but it was amazing looking. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for their responses.
Fr. John, That was a great thread with a lot of nice pics! salem65, I have yet to try on the watch but it looks pretty hefty Tony, I am thinking about getting a watch and can't seem to make up my mind. I want to try in first to see how it feels but it looks great. |

You MUST see it and try it on. Certainly not a watch to buy from a catalog picture. The feel, the quality, the weight etc need to be seen in person. You will either love it or hate it, but my guess is you will just love it. Good luck!

I think you're right Tony... Now I got to find an Omega dealer in my neighborhood.

Thanks for the posts and the pics!
The ProPlof sure looks a professional dive watch and because of that, I doubt if I would own one due to its sheer size. The depth is rated at 2000 feet, that's twice the depth of my PO. Is it twice the price? |

Tried a few dummies last year not long after Basel 2010. Liked them but found it too big on me.
The black one seems to have dropped its price at the ADs. Which is a good thing for buyers but not for flippers. PloProfs vs my 3570.50 I still fancy a White PloProf on mesh though |
