New Member - GA - Sub and DJ

Just a quick intro, new member here. My wife and I have had our watches since we got married, 5-6 years now.

Like everyone else, I'd love to find a new SS / White Faced Daytona.

The authorized dealer that we purchased ours from no longer has the local account, so I'm hoping to use this forum to get some good informatoin and get my questions answered.

thanks!

Welcome to TRF!!

You do realise that you're asking for the Holy Grail. Not very easy to come by, unless you're prepared to pay top $$$....and that, IMHO, is hardly worth it.

We would, however, like to see some pics of your current collection!! Thanks.

Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Cheers - JJ

Thanks guys, I'll get some pics up and add them to this post - mine is a standard 2001 SS Submariner w/ date and hers is a 2001 Datejust non-jubilee with smooth bezel and blue dial.

I'm willing to get on a waiting list for a Daytona - I don't mind paying MSRP if I have to wait a while to do so, would be better than paying 20% over MSRP to have it now I guess.

Got so impressed by all the cool pics on here that I took some of ours last night.

Posted some of them here in the 'super luminova' discussion http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...t=18252&page=2

Here are some more...

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

For some reason even before I knew about the rarity of the SS Daytona's I fell in love with the look of them.

I'm also loving the Milgauss and new Yacthmaster II (don't tell anyone, I know that puts me in the very small minority around here)

Added my Rolex video to my signature, here's the direct link if anyone wants to check it out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H1__QGuGPU

It's our watches, some dark shots that make the Super Luminova shine, etc.

Thanks Bo! This place is great, I have learned more here in the past month or two than I have in 5-6 years of having our watches!
