GMT Master 1675

Hi everyone.

I'm new to posting on these forums. I would like to buy GMT Master 1675. The Seller (interwatches on eBay) specified year of production to 1963 but Serial Number is 172xxxx. I think it is from 1967. I received photo of calibre and back case and I see problem, back case is from 1963, movement is 1570??. Is it possible?

Could you please help me?

Josef

63 was last year of PCG which that watch lacks and the serial would be around 1,1xxxx. That one is a much later watch with wrong case back.

Doesn't look like a pointed crown guard to me. Nice watch though. Looks like and early non-pointed crown guard model.

Agreed. I believe a 63 model would also have the 1560/5 movement vs. the 1570/5.

Yes you have right. This is not PCG, but I have question about calibre 1570 and year of production 1963, I think this is not possible!?

Correct--1560 on a 63--but this watch is clearly much later anyway looking at serial range--way off as well as fact it is not a PCG!

It is impossible that it is a 63--I have a 63 with PCG and 1560 movement with small GMT hand--and early faded true bezel insert--mine is 7xx earlier than this one and mine is late 63!! The only thing 63 about this watch is the case back.

the GMT pointer is large. the one i've been asking about (my father in law's) has a small pointer and gilt lettering. its serial indicates it's from '66 or so.

here's a pic:
