Do I love the PO? Oh no...
I was really close to buying a 1-year used GMT-IIc, but thought I should look at Omega. And I saw the black dial PO, and I'm afraid to admit to myself that I really love it a LOT. I love the slightly extra size and heft, and it's just a beautiful watch. Someone talk some sense into me! ;-) Comments?

Always better to have both if possible rather than just one.

Yeah, I too have a GMTc an LM PO annd a Subc TT (black)
Have to admit...the LM is the best of the bunch...take the logo out of the equation and it really is no contest.. But I also have to admit that when the logo is briught back into the equation, the crown trumps the greek character... Luckily I am only quasi label/logo-conscious.. |

Get the GMT-IIc, hands down. If you ever need to sell the watch, for any reason, you're going to take a huge hit with the PO, or really any Omega for that matter. The Rolex, in SS, will always hold it's value very, very well. Plus you get more functionality with the GMT (a more complicated movement) and...oh yeah, it's a Rolex! Omega are nice, but I've always seen them more a fashion watches. Go for the Rolex and you won't be sorry.

I started really itching for the PO but then I got my eyes on Rolex and dropped the idea of the PO. Since getting my Rolexes I have a PO coming in very soon since that was the one that started me on good watches and I figured at PO's price point it would be a good casual watch in the semi luxury level when its not appropriate to wear lower tier watches etc. without worrying about putting scratches on the Rolexes.
Get both the GMT and PO, they are different watches and you can wear them on different days. |

I had a SS GMTIIc and liked it, but sold it as it never quite grew on me despite the initial love for all the upgrades. Upgraded to a two tone GMT. Now I have a PO and absolutely love it. It has the same heft as my wg daytona.
At the end of the day buy what you love or you will only end up wasting a lot of money whilst flipping watches to get to the one you love. I have learnt this many thousands of pounds later, my poor enduring wife still supports me.

PO is a great piece no doubt-new innovation yet you can see the history of the seamaster in it. Perfect way to honor the heritage IMO.

The rolex ss unless vintage or a daytona, always lose money, I have flipped so many over the last 5 years and lost money. People always said buy rolex, they do not lose much on there value. I have to say now quite a few years on and pound slighter and a lot wiser. I disagree with that sentiment. No longer am I brand conscious and only buy what I love and sings to me.

I love my 42mm PO soooo much... that hopefully a 45mm version will be joining it very soon.
Buy it, you will not be dissapointed in any way. The orange is not as bright as it looks in fotos.
