I know this is a Rolex forum ... but I want your opinion

I have these watches

A Rolex submariner 16610Lv (what else )
A steel / Platinum Yachtmaster
A Panerai 292 Ceramic radiomir

And I saved enought to buy a fouth watch.

It will be or a Rolex or a Panerai. Should I buy a Panerai to get 2 Panerai and 2 Rolexes or a third Rolex ?

If I go for a Rolex it must be a sportsmodel, and I would probably buy a secondhand Explorer II or secondhand GMT (Not ceramic !!!)

If it would be the Panerai ... I have a chance to get such a limited boutique version from Paris (Luminor 414, PIG dial)

NO please, think before you vote, look at what I have and don't just vote for Rolex because we are on a Rolex forum !!!

For those who don't know enough about Panerai, this is the watch I'm talking about

thanks for your replies !

The Panerai is nice, but I voted Rolex because both options have a very useful GMT function.

Since you have 2 and 1, I would make it 2 and 2. Plus, I LOVE the look of that Panerai

The only opinion that matters is your own because you have to wear it, so just buy the watch you want its that simple.

Get the Panerai - if you change your mind in the future, it will be much, much easier to find one of the Rolexes than a limited run Panerai

EDIT: After doing some more research on the 414, it's made me even more certain of it's uniqueness. Get it!

Here is what a 292 looks like for the record.

BTW, I voted the Pam SE because if you are thinking about even liking it, get it now, b/c it won't be made again. You can always get a Expy II or GMT II if you change your mind later.

yup, but there is a huge difference between a Radiomir (which I have) and a Luminor (which I could get)

And let's be honest, the difference between a sub and GMT isn't also very big

thanks, this is indeed very good about the Panerai
and if I would ever want to sell it I could sell it without problem ... even with a profit

Since it is nearly 50/50 right now, and this poll is on a ROLEX FORUM.........That is really saying something IMHO.

Forgive me because this is different than you asked, but if I had a couple of Rolexes and a Panerai, I would get a Breitling.

As other posters have stated, the Panerai is a limited edition. Get what you like - the Pani may be hard to get in the future.

I voted for Rolex but certainly admire Panerai.

Panerai is one of those brands that doesn't really look good on me but I love to see them worn on others.

Hard to go wrong either way. Glad I could be of no help whatsoever.

Go GMT! I have owned 3 panerai watches, an 88 a 312 and a chrono radiomer (forgot the number) I have also owned a coke GMT which I sold to fund the GMTIIC

The only watch I have ever regretted selling (& I have traded over 35) is the GMT Coke! and I am saving up now to get a pepsi!!!

The Panerai is an awesome watch but you did ask for opinions and it wouldn't get any time on my wrist if I had the GMT! Just MHO.

Looking forward to seeing your choice.
