Longines among Rolex nuts?

Just curious how many of you with mainly Rolex have Longines among your collection? Which one do you have? The Master retrograde model with day/date/24hr/reserve on leather looks good.

I used to have a Longiness Admiral chrono a decade ago. It was a nice and well made watch, good value.

I considered the Longines Master Retrograde for my next watch purchase. But I went with the Sub LV-C instead. I know they are two completely different styles of watches. At first I wasn't sure I wanted to spend so much on my next watch after having bought a TT Datejust last year. Oh well, the Rolex bug is strong, and I ended up buying the LV-C anyway. I still love the Master Retrograde and think that it's definitely in my future.

I had a 1950's gold model, but sold it, very good looking watch but not the most comfortable on my wrist

That's exactly the one I was considering. I love the look and the Retrograde complication. And the price is pretty good for what you get, $4,900 here in the U.S. Plus you can get a much better discount on a Longines than a Rolex.

Some of the oldest watches that have been passed down to me have been Longines. I love the brand.

I am in the market currently for a Column Wheel Chrono in Rose Gold (As soon as They are available)

This is a snap of the column wheel.

And this is my Favorite from my current collection.
Fantastic patina on this 14k beauty.

This is the latest version of the retrograde they just showed at Basel. I like it, but I prefer the Arabic numerals and since they switched to correctors instead of pushers, I think they should have made them flush with the case.

Not sure yet about model number and price, it was only just shown at Basel. Master Retrograde without moon phase goes for $4,900 retail, so I'm guessing low-mid $5,000 range for this new model.

Not exactly sure, but shortly after buying it I sent it to Swatch in Toronto for a service estimate. They confirmed it as 100% original including the dial and day wheel. I guess that Swatch figured out long ago that the Far East market is huge.

Thanks for the info, its rare (to me at least) to see an original luxury western watch with Chinese fonts on it. What an eye opener
