Icon7 PVD DLC chips and scratches on factory finish

I have an older B&R factory PVD Heritage Collection ( DLC application I think) watch. Over time through heavy use the PVD coating has been scratched up and chipped (esp the corners).
Does anyone know if the factory service center would 'refinish' the PVD coating? Can DLC be reapplied? Has anyone had success 'reapplying' the PVD coating from non factory service centers?
IMHO the scratches add some character to the watch, but the chips take away and become an eye sore - that is why I am looking forward to 'reapplying' the finish.
Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

My understanding of the PVD process is that the DLC coating can be removed and reapplied. Not an easy task as I understand it but reapplying over chips will result in unevenness.

Your watch would have to be removed of all components and the case would need to be completely stripped of the original coating and then re-applied!
My guess is an expensive endeavour....
